Every once in a while, a new menu item of the oh-sh*t-I-need-to-try-that-now variety crosses our paths. Hardee’s Garlic Bread Thickburger absolutely fits that description, health goals be damned.
Launched in conjunction with another garlicky, delicious-sounding menu item that we’ll reach in a second, the burger is arriving to https://www.hardees.com/ locations nationwide June 19. The 1/3-pound Black Angus beef patty is served on butter-toasted sourdough bread (YUM) with a buttery garlic herb spread, parmesan crisps, and caramelized onions. Whoever decided to add parm crisps As well as a slice of cheese, a chef’s kiss to you.
Also new to menus nationwide: the Cheesy Garlic Fries. Following in the footsteps of fast food brands like McDonald’s and Taco Bell, Hardee’s is bringing a new sort of cheesy fries to the masses. Their rendition is topped with a garlic butter sauce and cheese and can be added to the combo for as little as a dollar. Hardee’s menu comes with bacon cheddar fries and curly fries, FYI.
The burger and fries were tested at Hardee’s west coast sister brand Carl’s Jr. late a year ago, though it’s not clear if they’ll be added in to people menus, too. More good-to-know details: Both products are limited-time offerings along with their prices can vary greatly slightly by location. The burger starts at $5.29.
The partnership marks Hardee’s first-ever influencer team-up, and will call for kid’s meals that can come complete with four exclusive toys from Ryan’s expansive product brand, Ryan’s World. Later this summer, another children’s channel repped by Ryan’s studio partner, Pocket.watch – HobbyKidsTV, via their newly-formed HobbyKids Aventures entertainment brand – will launch similar toys in Hardee’s and sister chain Carl’s Jr. (Both Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. are belonging to parent company CKE Restaurants).
“Our people are digital-first,” Hardee’s director of brand marketing, Jenna Folk, told CNN. She also noted that Hardee’s stopped vending kids’ meals – which it calls Star Pals – eight in the past, but the company has since noticed a rise in families eating at fast-food chains, citing recent studies.
Included in his partnership with hardees catering menu, Ryan may also showcase the four exclusive toys on his massive YouTube channel. The products (see below) include: unknown egg with a puzzle inside, a Ryan figurine, a water toy, and fuzwov rolling panda. The Star Pals meals, launching next week, will include chicken tenders or a burger, a side of applesauce, and a milk beverage – starting at $3.99.
“This partnership with CKE is a great extension of Ryan’s World, the spectacular character universe developed by Ryan along with his family,” said Edwina Cumberbatch, Pocket.watch’s manager of sales and co-promotion.
